A priest has been accused of accidentally drowning a six-week-old boy as he baptised him in Moldova.

Witnesses claimed the baby died after Father Valentin failed to cover his mouth and nose when he immersed him in water three times.

Film shot by relatives shows the youngster moving after being taken out of the font, but then suffering difficulty breathing as he is dressed.

Twenty minutes later, he started bleeding from his nose and mouth and died.

Fatehabad:  The early morning calm in the tiny village of Samen in Haryana was shattered on Sunday by killings of a young 18-year-old couple.

The bodies of Shaan Mohammad and Reena were found near a government school in the village. They were killed allegedly for falling in love outside their religions.

The boy's Muslim family alleges Reena's Hindu parents had them killed.

A naked man "yelling that he was Jesus" was the catalyst for a five-vehicle accident on I-95 Northbound near exit 16 early Saturday morning that injured three people, mangled a tandem tractor-trailer truck and slowed traffic to a crawl for nearly six hours, according to Darien Police Sgt. Those who think the flak over the Facebook group "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day" is over because 1) the day is past (May 20) and 2) Facebook has blocked the group in Islamic countries: think again. Reportedly, Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg is being investigated by Pakistani police over the now-blocked group.

As reported by The Register, BBC Urdu reports that Pakistan's Deputy Attorney General has launched a criminal investigation into the "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day" group.

SAO PAULO - A Polish priest accused of sexually abusing a former altar boy in Rio de Janeiro and turning his parish home into an "erotic dungeon" has surrendered and is now in police custody, a public safety official said Saturday.
State prosecutors have accused Marcin Michael Strachanowski of handcuffing the 16-year-old former altar boy to a bed three years ago in the parish house where the priest lived and threatening to kill the youth if he spoke of the abuse.

The priest from the parish of San Pedro in Antequera, Málaga, has been charged with the theft of 17 stained glass windows from the church, catalogued as assets of cultural interest in the municipality. The director of the Municipal Heritage centre is also implicated in the theft according to EFE news agency.

Claire Allen, 36, said she was the first to notice the image on the underside of the lid as she was putting the yeast spread on her son's toast.
Her husband Gareth, 37, said he could not believe his eyes when he saw it.
Mr Allen, of Ystrad, Rhondda, said: "The kids are still eating it, but we kept the lid."
He explained: "Claire saw it first and called her dad to come and take a photo of it.

OSLO (Reuters) - The Norwegian Catholic Church said Friday it was aware of four more potential sexual abuse cases by priests against minors, two days after it revealed that a bishop who resigned last year did so after abusing an altar boy.
The abuse revelations in Norway are the latest to hit the Catholic Church, which has seen its reputation tarnished by a wave of similar accusations in Ireland, the United States, Germany and other countries.

(Mobile, AL)  --  The stepdaughter of an Alabama traveling preacher and self-proclaimed prophet accused of killing his wife then storing her body in a freezer took the stand on Tuesday.
Thirty-nine-year-old Anthony Hopkins has been charged with killing Arletha Hopkins on December 4th, 2004 and for the sexual abuse of his then eleven-year-old stepdaughter.
According to the "Mobile Press Register," prosecutors claim Hopkins killed his wife after she found out about the incidents of incest.

TWO German nuns are under investigation for the alleged sexual abuse of children.
The two sisters and four priests are at the centre of fresh child-abuse allegations in the diocese of Regensburg, Bavaria, in southern Germany.
The investigation was announced by a spokesman for the diocese, although no further details were given. The diocese is acting on some of the 300 claims of abuse at clerical institutions that have emerged since Germany was embroiled in the scandal, which has also hit Ireland.

TORONTO — The 55-year-old pastor of a Toronto church at the centre of allegations of gang sexual assault was arrested on separate charges Monday.
Pastor Jae-Kap Song was charged with inappropriate touching of a woman who was renting an apartment he owned and also attended this church. Police said the incident happened in February.
The pastor's indictment comes as the church is embroiled in separate alleged sex crimes which police say involve gang rape.
The two cases are separate.

MIRPURKHAS - A priest of Kali Mata temple slaughtered his three daughters before killing himself as a sacrifice to appease the goddess inside the temple at Mirwah Gorchani area, District Mirpurkhas, on Tuesday.
The temple where this gruesome incident took place is located on the first floor of Tekamdas Meghwar’s house in Bhemomal Colony at Mirwah Gorchani Town.
